Khecheopalri | The Wish Fulfilling Lake | Sikkim, India

K hecheopalri  is a sacred Lake for both  Buddhists  and  Hindus , which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. It is located near Khecheopalri village, 147 kilometers west of  Gangtok  and 34 kilometers to the northwest of  Pelling  town in the West district of the Northeastern Indian state of  Sikkim .The popularly known name of the lake, considering its location is Khecheopalri Lake, ensconced in the midst of the  Khecheopalri hill , which is also considered a sacred hill. The lake is an integral part of the much revered valley of " Demazong " meaning valley of rice. Buddha Park | Tathagata Tsal | Ravangla, Sikkim, India

T he Buddha Park of  Ravangla, also known as Tathagata Tsal, is situated near  Rabong  (Ravangla) in South  Sikkim  district, Sikkim, India. It is located at an altitude of  7000 ft (approx.)  on the edge between  Maenam  and  Tendong  Hill.  With a stunning backdrop of  Greater  Himalayas, lies on the edge separating the Teesta valley from the Rangit valley  and  the main attraction of this town is the spectacular sight of the snow-covered peaks. It was constructed between 2006 and 2013 and features a 130-foot high statue of the Buddha  as its centerpiece.  The site was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Gompa (Monastery), itself a centuries-old place of pilgrimage.
