Khecheopalri | The Wish Fulfilling Lake | Sikkim, India

K hecheopalri  is a sacred Lake for both  Buddhists  and  Hindus , which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. It is located near Khecheopalri village, 147 kilometers west of  Gangtok  and 34 kilometers to the northwest of  Pelling  town in the West district of the Northeastern Indian state of  Sikkim .The popularly known name of the lake, considering its location is Khecheopalri Lake, ensconced in the midst of the  Khecheopalri hill , which is also considered a sacred hill. The lake is an integral part of the much revered valley of " Demazong " meaning valley of rice. F ishing is the action of trying to catch fish. From  the era of development of civilisation till today it is considered as a typical profession of human being. Fishing techniques are different in different regions. Basically techniques for catching fish include hand gathering, spearing, netting, angling and trapping. Fishing is not only a profession but it is also an addiction. Watching fishing is too amazing. When a group of fishermen fishes, it looks great. At daybreak the fishermen of coastal region go to the sea on / fishing boat to spread the long fishing net (gillnet). The fishermen spread the long fishing net in a definite spot in the sea & return to the beach. They then wait for an hour or half an hour on the beach according to their own calculation before pulling the fishing net. Then on the beach the fishermen pull the fishing net from the both ends in an amazing way to collect the fishes, crabs, conches, etc.       ...

T he Buddha Park of  Ravangla, also known as Tathagata Tsal, is situated near  Rabong  (Ravangla) in South  Sikkim  district, Sikkim, India. It is located at an altitude of  7000 ft (approx.)  on the edge between  Maenam  and  Tendong  Hill.  With a stunning backdrop of  Greater  Himalayas, lies on the edge separating the Teesta valley from the Rangit valley  and  the main attraction of this town is the spectacular sight of the snow-covered peaks. It was constructed between 2006 and 2013 and features a 130-foot high statue of the Buddha  as its centerpiece.  The site was chosen within the larger religious complex of the Rabong Gompa (Monastery), itself a centuries-old place of pilgrimage. TSOMGO (CHANGU) LAKE | East Sikkim | India

Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake is a glacial lake in the district of  East Sikkim , Sikkim , India.  It is situated about 38 km away from Gangtok , the capital of Sikkim at an elevation of 12,400 ft. The length, width and average depth of this lake is respectively Nearly 1 km, 0.5 km and 50 ft (15 m). In Bhutia Language ‘ TSO ’ means    Lake and ‘ MGO ’  means  Head.
